Daily Virtual Permits in Lot 20 Garage

Daily virtual permits can be purchased at the pay stations in the garage. They require a license plate to purchase a permit. If you do not have a license plate, you must enter the complete VIN.  You will no longer be required to display a permit since the machines will no longer print out permits. 

Please follow the following steps below to purchase a daily permit:

  • Enter license plate 
  • Select duration of permit
  • Enter payment 
  • Complete transaction

 

Lot 20 Prepaid Daily Semester Virtual Permits 

A limited quantity of Lot 20 Prepaid Daily Semester Permits are available on a first come first served basis. Once permits are sold out, permits will not be available for purchase until the following semester. 

Permit Costs:

  • $256 for a Tuesday & Thursday permit
  • $384 for a Monday, Wednesday and Friday permit. 
  • $640 for a Monday thru Friday permit. 

LOT 25 ON-CAMPUS RESIDENT VIRTUAL PERMIT

Lot 25 semester permits are available only to students who are on-campus residents for $245. There is a limited quantity available on a first come first served basis. Once permits are sold out, permits will not be available for purchase until the following semester. 

If you live at UPN, UPS, or the Village and want a permit to park in those lots, you must purchase the permit through the Housing Department website http://housing.sfsu.edu/student-resident-parking    

PURCHASING SEMESTER VIRTUAL PERMITS

  • SFSUpermitinfo.net  Click on NEW USER and follow the directions.  (Do not use ACCOUNT LOG IN, this is not the SF State account)
  • At the end of your purchase please create a parking permit account login.  This is the only way to update vehicle information at anytime.
  • Once purchased, you can visit the website at anytime to update your vehicle information.

VIRTUAL PERMIT USE POLICY:

Lot 20 Virtual Permits:

  • Lot 20 virtual permit is valid in Lots 20 and 25.
  • Lot 20 is a search lot and this virtual permit does not guarantee parking.
  • Virtual permits do not allow for overnight parking.
  • This virtual permit is only valid on ONE registered vehicle parked on campus lot at any time.
  • Virtual permit is non-transferable. Vehicle must be registered to the student or from the same household.
  • Parking privileges will be revoked for any individuals found in violation of SFSU's Parking regulations.
  • Refunds are issued per ABS 87-36.  Refunds are based on date of purchase.  Returns within first week of purchase is a 100% refund.  Spring Semesters:  January through February is a 75% refund, March through April 20 is a 50% refund.  After April 20th, no refunds issued.  Fall Semesters:  August through September is a 75% refund, October through November 20 is a 50% refund.  After November, no refunds issued.  Email parking@sfsu.edu to request a refund.
  • San Francisco State University does NOT assume liability for theft, fire or damage to any vehicle or any articles left therein.  No bailment for the University is created with this virtual permit to park.
