Campus Parking Enforcement

SF State provides parking for students, faculty and staff, and visitors.  A valid daily or semester permit is required at ALL times in every lot.  After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, all lots become open for public use.  Please visit the campus parking map to locate each parking lot available to use.

Daily Public Parking

Lot 20: Hours: 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

The roof level are restricted to staff and faculty between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Lot 25: General paid public, visitor/guest, student parking.  Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week.

Loading zones are strictly enforced and limited to 20 minutes. Buildings with Loading Zones: Library,  Creative Arts, Facilities and Thornton Hall should obtain loading zone permits from the Parking & Transportation Department. 

 

Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycle parking is free on campus.  Motorcycles need to be parked in designated motorcycle parking spaces.  Spaces are available in Lot 20 and Lot 6 parking garage.

 

Parking for Persons with Disabilities

  •  It is the policy of the University to provide convenient accessible parking facilities for all persons with disabilities who are members of the faculty, staff, student body, and visiting general public.
  • A valid DP/DV license plate or placard issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles and a valid University parking permit must be displayed to park in a blue zone on campus.
